The FAN Lab

Dr. Lei Fan’s research interests are in the broad areas of computational and experimental biomechanics, blood perfusion, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular mechanics. Our research lab focuses on developing multi-scale and multi-physics subject-specific computational models that are informed by experimental/clinical data to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of diseases in cardiovascular and brain, and help design/optimize treatments. We also perform ex-vivo beating heart experiments to elucidate the complex mechanisms in biology system.
